The FPR is a Peruvian national institution in charge of organizing Rugby in Peru and is a member of World Rugby and South America Rugby. They manage the participation of the Peruvian Rugby team in tournaments in the region and worldwide.
I worked as Product Designer with a team of 01 UI Designer and 03 developers to create a platform with a CMS on WordPress technology.
Required
Rugby in Peru is getting bigger as more players and fans get to know the sport and participate in sporting events.
My role, as a product designer, was to generate a valuable experience that addresses the need of the multiple users of the FPR.

Process
We followed the User Centered Design process to investigate how users of rugby may want to participate and know de news about Rugby in Peru based on their preferences. Letting user research be our guide, we brainstormed and designed multiple solutions. We then tested our ideas via usability tests and developed a high-fidelity interactive prototype based on our findings.
Discovery and definition
To start with the research, we analyzed 4 federations in the rugby world France, USA, Argentina, and Australia.
Then we interviewed the company’s stakeholders, users of ecosystem rugby. This process to helped us understand the jobs, needs, and joys of its users, the next step was to define a business value proposition to the user.
This process helped us determine scope for the project and to better understand the opportunity.
What did we learn?
While analyzing our findings from user interviews, we identified users who didn’t mention the stakeholders. Therefore, we determined the solution needs to account for the following users: Federation, Teams, Players, Referees, Sponsors, Fans, and coaches
We created hypotheses focused on each user and put them on the backlog.

Design & experimentation
Architect information
Before delving into specific designs, we created an information architecture to show the scope and functions of the product.
Wireframe
We created sketches up to high-fidelity prototypes with constant iteration with the business and users, which allowed us to certify a product that helps to solve the user’s need and is pleasant to use finally, we implemented it with WordPress technology.
UI Design & Prototype
Focusing on pixel perfect, the documentation and delivery of the design specifications of the first version of the product was done.
Implementation
Finally, we delivered a user-friendly mobile-first and dynamic web platform with a content management system, known to content editors as WordPress. A Universal Analytics code was installed to track and evaluate compliance with the KPIs defined by the FPR.
